The Morning Mist...

Misty Picture with a lot of clouds in the back drop..

Sleeping late and getting up late is fine... but when we sleep late and get up early its a tough day ahead. I went to sleep at around 1.30 at night or early morning... whatever... but I luckily got up at around 6, which was first of all strange for me and then for others at home. After a long time I saw six in the morning. And for my surprise, my elder brother who is in India was awake and watching TV in the morning at around 6. Still in jetlag... Suddenly he told, get ready Pahad pe jaayenge... (We will go up hill !). Fine, I said and then wore my shoes and were out for the trek...

I don't remember when was it that i climbed this hill may be 4-5 years back. But did a lot of trekking when in Pune. And my bro is mad about such adventures and he has been to Kilimanjaro - heighest peak of Africa. So he loves all this a lot. We grabbed the Camera and left at around 6.15 or so. Sun was about to rise. But the weather was a bit more hazy than usual. It was cloudy and misty on the hill. We headed from an old route through the cemetery but that road was no more open for going up hill. It was fenced and hence we took a parallel road from the outskirts of the cemetery. While going up we found many LAND MINES (Human Droppings, they are no less than land mines, mind you).

Finally we reached to the foothill and then had a look at the new bypass road that is built by cutting the edge of the hill so that the heavy traffic of Mumbra can be bypassed through that route. Still the work is in progress and God knows how much more time will it take !!

Started climbing up. It was the diffused light.. No direct sunlight was available, as the sky was cloudy and hence was not able to click much photographs. Clicked three though.. The view of Mumbra was not very kewl from top may be because of the dense population. It looks crowded from top too.

Easily and quickly we reached the top of the hill we didn't go any other point, just straight up and then relaxed there. There is a small dam that is built by the central railway. and we were watching the backwaters of that dam from about 100 fts. It was a great view. Good it didn't rain or else sab kuch pe paani phir jaata. Sat there for around 45 minutes to 1 hour discussing about different issues, like the India's map policy to my project work to places in US to many different topics that came up. Many of them discussed.

Still the sun wasn't out. So came down fast. Came straight home. Freshened up ourselves and then it was Garma Garam Jalebi in the offering...

Going to sleep again at 1. Lets see wats up for tomorrow....

MTNL KI JAI HO !!!

Writing the first blog was too difficult and this, second one of mine is not an exception. To write something bigger than a page was always a challenge for me. God knows, how have i cleared my exams by just streching my answers and writing some stories in the paper and fooling the examiners ;). Though they never noticed it, thats a different issue. NE ways... coming to the point.

Here i talk about INTERNET.

I am a frequent net user, tooooooo frequent indeed. More of a Netizen, than a citizen. Can't live without it at times. Let it be Orkut, yahoo etc etc... will try every thing new... And hence speed and reliabaility is one of the things i look forward for in the internet service. Hence without any doubt, a broadband fan and I enjoy the connection speed. Though have heard that in US the speed of the net is about 2-5 MBps which I can just imagine of, for the time being.

But talking about the service I got to use at home was SIFY. And to tell u all it wasn't a pleasure trip. May be, it wasn't Sify's problem, its the National Cable, the internet service provider... who thinks that he is one amongst Tata's and Ambani's for providing such great service.

Frequent disconnections was a routine. People complained but can't help, they had a new excuse every time, and the biggest hurdle that i faced, when at home was that of not having internet the whole day or for days and weeks together... Thanks to SIFY broadband as they were responsible for every thing.

Then finally the tubelight blinked after every thing and yesterday got a Broadband DSL MODEM, u guessed it right, MTNL Triband, will be active Insha Allah by tonight.

Triband has a different story to tell. Me n Dad went to the MTNL office to complete the formalities for the new connection. We met an officer, can't remember his name though, but as soon as we informed him that we need a Triband connection he said "Sir, its not triband that we offer right now Its Bi-Band". I was shocked to hear (Socha ki band baj gayi ab tou) that I thought that something wrong has happened and will have to again roll back to sify. But there was something which he wanted to convey, and it was simple, Triband stands for Telephone, Internet and Cable TV. Cable TV is a dream for MTNL till date, as informed. The officer said that he is hearing stories of MTNL providing consumers with Cable connections too since last two years but nothing has happened yet and nothing is foreseen for the coming six months, but who cares.

Every things fixed today the lineman will do the needful and then lets see.

For now, I am enthralled and excited to use the high speed internet connection (256 kbps)

Chao for now!

I have started writing....

A unique gift for my self this Birthday. I decided to write off the junk in my mind and to tell people, who's gonna read this, is that, this will be my thoughts, running around in these Blogs. I read one of my cousins blog.... Keep shouting no one cares a damn.... So thought will go ahead with the same principle, that might disturb people at times but then who cares. :)

I start off...

So many topics to choose from say Rains in Mumbai to Hostels of IIT to Israel-Lebanon conflict and so sooooo many.

I start of with some slippery note... RAINS, Talking about rains is not a big deal coz every one living in this world has experienced it at some point of time and its not new to the world but Mumbai is famous for its uncertain, unpredictable rains. People of Bombay can't just forget 26/7 and i too have bitter memories of that day. But few have some nice stories to tell. That rain has made few people's life too. Will discuss about that some other time.

For now its Mumbra on my mind, the place i stay. In rains, believe me, its just an awesome view in front of my window, with the patch of mountains absolutely dressed to kill, in a bridal gown with face half open like a bride ready for her marriage, a translucent whitish gown, pleasent and wetty winds blowing and u can actually see the rain on the hilly terrain, blowing along with the winds, as if someones holding a looooong silk cloth in a windy atmosphere. Adding to it, the ornamental waterfalls, that it wears makes it look like a princess which I enjoy and love to see. Right now there is no camera to share that beauty with u people, but will let u see that some other time.

Incidently it was Janmashtmi today, and its a call for rain, this is what i have heard, but today was too much as it rained quite heavily and continuosly. Though i relaxed the whole day just checking mails, scraps, chats with people who kept popping up. Although for me it was a relaxing day after stretched hardwork.

Yeah, its true that with rains, many things come for free, counting ON... say greenery to potholes, muddy footpaths to Mushrooms every thing comes and goes and theres nothing one can do for that. Neither can we improve nor can we worsen it but we leave it for the civic authorities to take care of.

Thats it for today. Really enjoyed my birthday, happy that there were no Birthday Bums but a lot of calls, sms's, scraps, messages which are still coming ..... thanks to all of u....
