Free Online Storage ... G > Drive ... a step above ....

Hey People !

Tighten your seat belts, coz this is gonna grip you all again a Google initiative to blow up your mind... Go ahead...

My facination for Google always kept on increasing because of they keep innovating. We all know that Google gives 2.7 + GB for email storage. This initiative was Google's way of standing out of all email services. This initiative was not the only one they took. Their search was always innovative and mind blowing. They again took over KeyHole and renamed and reframed it to a very easy to use product called Google Earth. Then their Spreadsheet came to show the world that spreadsheets can be modified online by multiple people at a time. This writeup looks like my previous post isn't it??

Nay! Its not... Am gonna tell you one ultra hidden service of Google. This service is not listed on Google Labs, i don't know the reason though. Its called GDrive or Google Drive. And if u say that u knew it earlier then you are guilty coz u never informed the world about this great service. And for the people who are not aware of this GDrive. Its a virtual drive of size (2.7 gigabyte MINUS your gmail account) this means that if you are using 700 MB of your Gmail inbox then you get 2.7 GB - 700 MB which comes to 2.0 GB of storage space.

Isn't it amazing? Yes of course it is. Now we can upload all kinda files on our google GDrive and then definitely download it from any where in the world. Let it be music files, portable document files or PDF's, document files or let it be any other setup files, zip files. The difference is that you upload your files directly in your gmail inbox without logging on the gmail page. It does it indirectly. Its all your space and its your reign. So go ahead and start uploading it.

Haan baba... telling you how to do it..

Step 1 :
Visit this link and download the zip file
http://download.softpedia.com/software/internet/email/gmailfs110.zip

Step 2 :
Install the setup file from the zip file.

Step 3 :
Go to My computer and find your GMail Drive

Step 4 :
Click on the GMail Drive and login into your gmail account.

Done...

You have logged in to your gmail account now start Uploading and enjoy...

And haan to add it.. the file that you upload goes directly to your inbox as a mail... so you don't need a different interface to download the files.

i'm lovin'it

I've tried to store 100 GB of my files, music and videos at an online storage provide like Flipdrive and Mediamax. Does it really work during day-to-day usuage? How much does it cost? Can it replace your local harddrive(s)? Check out my report at my blog if you're interested.
